This tour features the fabled Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park, where the Plain Chachalaca, Altamira Oriole, Olive Sparrow and Gray Hawk reside. The Hawk Tower overlooking the oxbow is an exceptional vantage point for viewing raptors in flight, and near-by Anzalduas County Park offers visitors to the Rio Grande River a shot at the Kingfisher ‘Trifecta’. We’ll spend the afternoon watching water features in McAllen, for a chance to see Clay-colored Thrush, Curve-billed Thrasher and multiple migrants.
