Santa Ana NWR is a great place to observe a wide array of LRGV specialties and raptors, as well as Harris’s Hawk, Neotropical Cormorant and shorebirds, thanks to productive wetland and riparian habitats. This tropical jungle has towers and trails and tackle, before we travel to the Hidalgo Pumphouse to see Monk Parakeets, Black Phoebe, and who knows what else!
