Weslaco is blessed with three, rich nature sites – Estero Llano Grande State Park, Valley Nature Center, and Frontera Audubon—and home to colorful nesting Green Parakeets and Red-crowned Parrots. We’ll visit all three sites in search of Long-billed Thrasher, Couch’s Kingbird and Yellow-crowned Night-Heron, as well as more common local birds like Great Kiskadee and Green Jay. A wide variety of local specialties are likely!
